The train at the zoo. We had to wait for a few trains to fill up and go by before it was our turn, which was near torturous for Gabe. He kept yelling nonsensical gibberish at the people getting on and saying, "stop choo choo! stop! stop it!!!" when the train left the station without him. But eventually it was our turn and Gabe loved every minute of it.

Gabe and I sat in the peacock bench on the carousel, while Elle got to ride on the praying mantis. Gabe hopped right into the seat and said "sitta mommy sit!" and patted the seat next to him. How could I refuse my perfect little gentleman?

My little monkey measures up nicely. Don't you think?

And of course, the absolute best thing about the zoo is.... the ice cream! We always stop at the "Beastro" for dippin dots and ice cream cones with flavors swirled in them. My personal favorite is the Green apple ice cream, and Elle gets the chocolate mint dippin' dots. Although, it seems like she took a lot of bites of mine this time. Hmmmm.

Fruit bats all snuggled together and trying to sleep. They wouldn't let us into the green house for "natures nightmares" if we had eaten any fruit in the last hour. I didn't ask why but was it because we'd get attacked by the bats? They seemed pretty docile sleeping in their trees to me. "Natures nightmares" is the new exhibit for the year with things like leaches, huge Vietnamese centipedes, tarantulas (which I avoided) and vultures. It was awesome! Besides the spiders. They make my stomach churn.

This was the scariest thing at "Natures Nightmares"! Isn't it frightening?!
